Questions you should be asking when looking at diesel fuel conditioners:
1) Is the conditioner an advanced "second generation" product made from the ground up or is it a product that has been around for quite a while and been "slightly modified" to make it "greener" ie: they have added a little something so that it can be advertised as using a renewable resource.
2) Is the product made in Canada using 100 % renewable resources and does it meet the ECP (Environmental Choice Program) EcoLogo certification process?
3) What track record does the product have and how long has it been on the market?
4) Is the product cost effective and does it provide additional features beyond additional fuel economy?
5) Does the product add lubricity using renewal resources or does it contain fuel drying, chemical based ingredients, such as alcohol which further reduce lubricity and cause increased engine wear?
Questions you should be asking when looking at penetrating oils:
1) Is the product using an ozone friendly propellant?
2) Is the product non-toxic and made from a biodegrable renewable Canadian resource?
3) Does the product have lubricating as well as penetrating qualities?
4) Does the product meet strignet CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) standards
